Sashiko coasters in progress |
Unfortunately, now that I am back and have access to my sewing machine again, other items on my list have a higher priority than these fun hand projects. Bee blocks in particular, as they are due on the 15th, and my Leafs Me Happy blocks for the blog hop on the 10th. There have already been some amazing blocks shown, so the bar is quite high! The Sew We Quilt site has a link to the Pinterest Board where you can see all the blocks submitted thus far.
Well, I better crack that whip and get some more things done...

This Wednesday......
Completed Projects:
- 6 Bee Blocks for the solids group of the 3 x 6 Bee - but you will have to wait until Building Block Tuesday to see them
- 1 block for the Leafs Me Happy Blog Hop - you have to come back on the 10th to see!
On-going Projects:
I've decided these are actually the projects I hope to touch within the next week.
- Vintage Holiday Quilt Along - top needs to be put together, sashing is partially cut
- Totally Groovy Quilt Along - piecing in progress
- 6 more Bee Blocks - paper piecing in progress.
- Leaf's Me Happy block(s) - My date is October 10th. 1 block down, ?? to go.
- Sashiko coasters - I started these on my trip!! I have the embroidery on 4 done, though the one in the top left probably needs to be re-done. The stitches are way to big. These are part of my 100 Day Hustle list
These projects are part of my 100 Day Hustle List also, but will likely be touched in a couple of weeks.
- Batik Stripe Quilt - still sandwiched and ready to be quilted! I moved this one up because it is part of my 100 Day Hustle list.
- Star of Africa Bee - September's block, and now October's block
- Preschool Pillowcases
- How Far Will You Go? QAL - Putting this one aside until my blocks for the bees are done. But I would like to at least catch up with the blocks here and there as not to get too far behind. This one is scheduled to be completed after the 100 Day Hustle, but I'll never finish it then if I don't keep up somewhat.
The Back, Back Burner:
Lightning would have to strike twice.
Lightning would have to strike twice.
- Handstitched goodies - several projects in limbo.
- Beginner Quilt Along at Quilting Gallery - top needs to be put together
- Red, White, Blue New York Beauty - piecing in progress, but put well out of the way. I need to be in a paper-piecing mood to resume.
- EPP project - in progress. I still have not decided what to make with these little hexies. I am leaning toward either mug rugs or place mats. I just didn't make enough of them to make a table runner.
- Charity quilt for the guild - not started
Completed projects - just blocks
New projects - 0
Currently in Progress - 5-ish
Don't forget to link up any blocks you have been working on to yesterday's post! The linky stays open for a whole week, so feel free to add them as you complete or wait for next Tuesday (or both)!
Linking up with Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday's and .
beautiful stitching, Jen.
ReplyDeletewow. I know nothing about sashiko, but your coasters look really awesome! Thanks much for linking up to wip Wednesday this week, where I've had the pleasure of guest-hosting!
ReplyDeleteOooh I love the sashiko! The fabric colour is a brilliant choice, the dark blue seems very start against white stitches, but I've never seem anyone use a different background!
