A tilted view - Building Block Tuesday

No need to adjust your computer screen these blocks are definitely tilted.  These blocks are destined for my bee mates in the solids group of the 3 x 6 Bee. I found this lovely geometric pattern in the book, Fat Quarterly's Shape Workshop for Quilters.

I am still working on 6 more blocks for the paper pieced hive that I joined this quarter.  I am finding that hive a lot more difficult to do.  Partly because, since we are not limited to solids, choosing the right fabrics gets trickier.  Plus, I have had a hard time deciding which block to use.  I am still a bit new to paper piecing, and the first block I attempted was definitely more than I could handle.  I have tested a few more, but it is crunch time and I need to settle on one.  I suppose, next Tuesday I will have them all done and ready to show you.

Also don't forget, there are more blocks coming up tomorrow for the Leafs Me Happy Blog Hop .  There are so many blocks that have been submitted for this blog hop, and all of them are wonderful!  Come back tomorrow for my humble blocks and visit the talented quilters below to view theirs.

Now then, enough about me.  What have you been working on?

Link up your fabulous blocks.  You put a lot of hard work into them - show them off!  And, don't forget, you have all week to add them if you like.

  1. Nice blocks Jen, I have that book but haven't made anything from it yet. Will have to have another look at it!

Have you looked at the Littlest Thistle's tutorials on Foundation Paper Piecing for the Terrified? They are excellent, definitely worth checking out.

I LOVE comments, they make my day! Most of the time I am too distracted to respond right away, but I DO read them...always.

When I respond, I usually do it via email. Sometimes Google makes this easy and sometimes it doesn't. I usually only reply when it is easy. Just sayin.

Obviously, I can't reply to you at all if you are a no reply blogger. Also, sorry to Anonymous commentors, too much spam lately. You will have to leave a comment another way.

Have a Super Sparkly Day!
