Are your stripes lined up? - Building Blocks Tuesday

I've been hard at work on things other than blocks this past week, so I hope you don't mind if I show these Lucky Stars BOM blocks.  I never did a proper post about them.  This one for April is my favorite so far, and I would love to do a whole quilt with them - those corners would line up with one another to create a secondary block pattern.  It would be lovely!

Here is the March block:

I'm not sure what I was thinking choosing the striped fabric to be in there.  It certainly added a degree of difficulty that I don't think my skills are up to.

Just a quick reminder that the "It's for the Birds" Blog Hop starts today.  You can get the whole schedule here, and today's stops are:

Tuesday, May 7

  1. Oh I love both of them. I noticed them on your collage post, but seeing them individually I like them even more. Nicely pieced. I think a whole quilt would be amazing. And, I love the colors too.

  4. You're right that would be an amazing quilt. And your stripes almost match perfectly on the second block which is quite an achievement so don't beat yourself up about it,

  7. You are too hard on yourself! Close up, it looks like the stripes bend with the turn of the star; from far away, no one will notice. :-) I only just started mine but I'm working backwards from May. Oops.

    Love your colour choices!
